Resident Fire Prevention Status - November 2015

Each year members of the local Brigade check Cottage Point properties for their preparedness and any potential resources that could be utilised in a fire, such as water pumps and swimming pools.  To check on your preparedness, just download the attached spreadsheet here.

Preparing for the  fire season

Dry, dead  organic material, such as  leaves in gutters, fried clipped cuttings or  flammable  materials lying in your yard will easily ignite from flying ambers or in hot, dry weather. The NSW Fire Brigade have prepared a valuable resource to help get your property ready for the bush fire season.
