 Road Safety

ROAD Safety, PERSONAL SAFETY, PROPERTY SAFETY, WILDLIFE SAFETY Incident Register

Please don't have an accident coming to Cottage Point as there is No Mobile Phone Coverage to help you.

COMPLAIN HERE AND SIGN OUR LOCAL MEMBER PETITION FOR CHANGE.

At Cottage Point we take road safety very seriously.

The road to Cottage Point is very narrow and with over 60,000 visitors per year, the road needs:
  • to be upgraded
  • made wider with safer edges, and most importantly,
  • the addition of centre line.

Cottage Point's visitors come by car, motor bike, bicycles, trucks, boats and sea plane.

There are frequent accidents on the road to Cottage Point where speed and the failure to keep left is an issue.  Our community wants to collect road incident reports so we that have actionable evidence to strengthen our case to government agencies.  This will protect our residents and the tens of thousands of visitors that come to the Cottage Point area.

The information we collect will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.  The information collected if significant enough, will be passed onto the correct authorities.  It will be used to demonstrate incidents that require changes to our infrastructure to protect residents and visitors.
